You may know that a certain character in Game of Throne’s season 6 episode “The Prince’s Gambit” is actually named “The Red Viper” in honor of his beloved character, but did you know that this character is actually a real person?
According to the Game of Thrones subreddit, “The Viper is actually the son of Jaime Lannister, who, along with the rest of the House Lannister family, has been killed off.”
The Redditor said that “the Red Viper is a member of the Kingsguard, a knightly order that serves King Aerys Targaryen.
It is an organization of assassins, sent to hunt down those who betray the King’s rule.”
The Reddit user noted that the Viper is one of several characters that will be featured in the season 7 premiere, and added that “it is unclear if the character is dead or alive, but he will be very important to the show.”
What do you think of the Red Viper’s identity?
Is he a dead person?
Are you sad that his character will be gone from Westeros?
